Banko made an attempt to nullify his overwhelming desire to eat. He tried straining his thoughts onto the limitless sky and its vast contents; occupying his thoughts with anything and everything but food.
Ignoring the churning from his stomach, Banko decided to watch a little blue bird flying gracefully above. With a loud chirp, it swooped down with quick speed, aiming for something on the ground below. It pecked with such furiousness that made Banko surprised; and soon after it rose up victoriously with what looked like a huge grub in its beak. Within seconds, the poor insect was swallowed by its prey, leaving the latter much satisfied.
The grumbling in his tummy could not stop; Banko was famished, and he could not take it any longer. Leaping up from where he sat, Banko ran towards the dry lands where he knew there was food. With forceful anticipation, he carefully dug out a crust of the ground with his bony fingers. Slowly, he lifted the sun-baked piece of dirt towards his mouth. As much as he hated its dry mud-like taste, sadly, it was all he had to cease the hunger pangs. The bland loathsome taste lingered on his tongue for what seemed like ages; but being given his unfortunate circumstances, he knew it was only inevitable.
There are many people like Banko out there who are dying of hunger each day. Given the chance, I would donate a huge sum of my million-dollar rolls to feed the poor and hunger-stricken. But sadly, my finite intelect and lack of experience in this world has forestalled my destiny as a billionaire. Only time will tell. Hahahaha
Ok, so I found this really interesting site on the web. Free Rice is the brainchild of John Breen, a self-employed computer programmer from Indiana. Free Rice is an Internet vocab game that is fun and educational and not only improves your word knowledge but serves as a platform to feed the poor as well! With every click of the mouse, you donate 4 grains of rice to the hungry!
Really wan! Because I'm such a passionate angel, I actually make it a point to donate about a thousand grains each day!!! ^^ haha ok la its new to me, so it seems pretty addictive now. But its worth every second on the computer screen.
I beseech thee, click click away!!

Seaside Escape
Last week, I happily skipped three days of college classes in exchnage for a sunny relaxing holiday all the way up in Pulau Redang, Terengannu!!!!
Before this, I never knew how much I could love the sea and everything in it!!! Clear blue sea that is. ( Gimme a typically dirty PD beach and I'll just stone under some coconut tree!)
Really, the sea ia an amazing place to just lie in the whole day!!!! With it being so clear blue and clean, you don't have to give a fret about any monster sea snail crawling up onto your toes!!! Or any unmerciless monster jellyfish stinging you to pain!
Once it hit morning on thursday, the whole Pearl group set out into the sea for snorkelling!!! We island-hopped to a few places to catch sight of some sea turtles and baby sharks. No baby sharks or dolphins though :(
Nevertheless, I had an amazing time just being in the water and having close-up encounters with the beautiful marine life there!! Once, a very beryy pretty purple fish greeted me as if to say, 'Hello! You got that right, purple looks good on me!!!'
Ahaha.
I was soooo excited and enthralled by the beautiful fish and the sea that when all the adults went to rest in the shades of the trees; franctically rubbing sunblock all over their body, I kept jumping into the sea!!
Thus, resulting in an aftermath of bright-reddish-skinned me!
Yes, my friends, GLoria finally got sunburnt!!!!!
Meet my new friend, Billy the grasshopper!! I was capturing him in jumping action!!!

Live.Revolution
Presenting the crazeee hyper-funny class of March Intake 2008!!!! (not self-proclaimed...really wan) Well, it's not the whole class actually, we're short of the macho apek guys who left class earlier in a frantic hunt for their breakfast.
This was taken on our very last day with Mr.Levin Wong- Finite Maths Lecturer who is thirty and respectively married with two kids.^^ Or so he says.
That's half the crazee gang!!! There's 27 of us altogether if I'm not mistaken. I'm at the bottom with Andrew!!!

CAn you spot the purple trio???! Mr.Levin would be the one with the Lecturer tag. That's how we define our lecturers. THey all wear the HELP lecturer tag.
Really thank GOd for putting such friendly and simple-minded people in my college life.
Everyday is a day of fun-ness and joy!!! Well, exams is an exception. aha but so far, okla.
Foundation is far from stressful. For now that is.
ANyways, I just got back from YC CAMP 2008!!! Live.Revolution was without doubt one of the most life-revolutionary camps I've been to!!!! God's presence was super overwhelming at camp!!! ANd being just us YCians minus the usual Aussie guest speakers, large suffocating crowd, mundanely boring PeaceHaven food, new faces, performance night and hyped-up end to every session simplified everything and helped us to refocus all our thoughts and attention towards the one true thing that matters- our relationship with GOd.
I pray and hope with all my heart that the revoltuion would not just stop there but continue to live in the hearts of everyone in YC;to began to ring true through our thoughts and actions and passed on to many others.
