DeMoralised

Yeaps, I seem to be a little demoralised...as stated in my SPM examination result certificate! I was never really a fan of the subject actually. If it teaches you anything, it is to lie! Because we just make up good stuff to write down and gain points all the time. Even my moral project was a total act! But then, it does teaches you how to pose for the camera! Like how to look like you are actually washing your dad's car...in a very determined and convincing way...

But I am super duper grateful to God for my results. So, if you don't know, then I got 9As 1B. That's right, B for moral. So please do stop spamming my phone inbox! I didn't know I could get so many messages in a day!

ANd before I even got home I knew everyones results in the entire big family! That's how fast news travels within the family. My AMA would be the CNN achor. So within a few minutes, all the aunties and uncles would be discussing about your results! Haiyoh, what to do, typical chinese family thing to do. As much as I dislike comparing results, I have to live with it. Well, at least SPM would be the last! Thank God!

To everyone who got whooping straight As,CONGRATULTATIONS!!!! To the ones who got lesser than expected...don't blame yourselves! ANd congrats too! Well, what matters is that we all did our best! And its finally over!!!!! The real deal now is after-spm life! Where you have to worry about finishing assignments, meeting datelines, living up to the lecturer's expectations of you and actually think of what you are gonna wear each day!!!!

But for now, I really really thank God with all my heart for everything He has given me! God, You are so good to me!!! Even when I dont deserve such favour and blessings! Thank You God!!!

I think the best part about SPM was that God was with me the entire time. It isn't really about the results, its the journey there that's important. And when I was pouring through books and getting all black-eyed, GOd was there giving me strenght and support, guiding and teaching me His ways! And truly, I didn't worry about anything at all, for He kept me filled with His peace. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

Brat in Disguise

Presenting the master of all innocent disguises!!! If there's ever anyone who can fool you into her infallible innocence, its my dear dear Singaporean cousin, Pei Yi. At the age of five, she can lure you into playing harmless friendly games with her, only to poke and prod at you, having you at her ultimate disposal. And i so happen to be, her ultimate victim. Human analysis- Name:Ong Pei Yi, Age:five, fav colour:rainbow, fav food:biscuits, bloodtype: possibly cold blooded, strengths: adorable cuteness, secret weapon: very berry mean words!
CAUTION: the subject identified can be very very very cute but dangerously viscious at the same time. Do not give in to her. I repeat, do NOT give in to her.

Which of course, I did. Aiyoh, how was I to know, she like that one?

The last time I met her, was at Ama's house in KL. Back then, she was so shy and intimidated by everyone, that she would run away or just keep quiet when you talk to her. But this time, when we visited her in her very own territory, she became surprisingly talkative and active!!! Huge difference really!

My first encounter with her, we picked her up from kindergarten...

me: hello Pei yi, do you remember me? I play cooking with you last time.
pei yi: (looks at me with her huge big bambi eyes) no! ( then coutinues playing with whatever she's playing with)
me: haarr really ar? but i draw pretty picture for you worr... see like this flower on my shirt!
pei yi: i throw away the pictures d...yuck!!! so ugly!
me: (utterly hurt of course) where got...see i look so preety!!
pei yi: yuck!!!!

(by tthis time mum and sis decided to play along and intervene of course...why not? we all find my rejection pretty amusing...

mum: (points at herself) so, pei yi, you like this aunty a not? (to which she chakes her head and says cutely 'yes')

mum: then how about this jie jie? (points to my sis) (yes again) and then very slowly points to me and carefully says, this one leh?

pei yi: no!

what did i do? haha but nevertheless we still played games and she made me her horsey, patient and chased me around for no apparent reason. also tearing apart and drawing on some of my stuff. but her cute smile and laughter is truly infectious.

one time, my dad treatened to eat her leg because he was sooo hungry. to which she replied innocently, 'but i haven't wash my leg!'

pei yi and her newfound husband. she is supposed to get married. but decides to put his hair in place first...

ohh no!!! what have you done pei yi???
she bully me i tell you!

Quick Escapade

Yeaps, my entire family took advantage of the past election to go for a quick holiday down north to Singapore! Nope, not because we are big on ignorance. You gotta admit that with everything that has been happening in our country- rise of foodstuff and petrol, the Hindraf movement, the ongoing racial discriminations... one cannot choose to go into total oblivion of the elections.

This year's elections has been byfar the most interesting and exciting in Malaysian history. And I must say that I am pretty pleased with the outcome! Truth be told, I am no political genius. But I do know that BN has been reigning since I was born. And that corruption runs rampant in the government. Lets face it, people get fed up. Malaysians need a fresh change of ruling. We want our voices heard. And this time, we got it! I am looking forward to what the opposition coalition will do for the better. Maybe this time we will actually be moving forward, TOGETHER.

Cheers to a better Malaysia!!!

If that happens and you can actually make without breaking much in Malaysia, then I might actually forfeit my masterplan to go to the US and marry a handsomely-rich Godly young ABC (American born chinese) !! haha on second thoughts...maybe no la

I've always wanted to travel around the world. My dream is to tour European countries, eat the best of Aseans, go on a cruise across the oceans, meet my husband-to-be in between, get married in Japan, honeymooning in hawaii, chase animals in South Africa, swim with pink dolphins and turtles under the sea, raise kids in the islands, then finally retire off in Switzerland!

Haha

Btw, it was my birthday yesterday.

Soooo....haaaapppeee beeelated burrfay toooo meeee!
